About Our Programs & Events
Many parents of children with autism and developmental differences express difficulty in securing adequate and reliable childcare. What if you had the opportunity for a monthly “night out” with free childcare provided by behavior therapists?
Each month, Gather Chicago helps to sponsor a “Parents’ Night Out” or “date night” for parents in Chicago and the surrounding suburbs. These events started as a way to support parents of children with autism and developmental differences. The events are carefully planned by our team with engaging activities.
During the events, you drop your child off at our space, and you will have a few hours to go to dinner, run errands, get an overdue mani/pedi, or just relax and enjoy “you time!”
The childcare for the events is provided by highly trained behavior therapists who work with children with autism and developmental difference every day. Working with children is their passion! The events also maintain a low child-to-adult ratio to ensure individualized care.
The cost to host the events would be significant, but we are committed to providing opportunities like this to families free of cost.
We are always adding to our resources!
We will continue adding to this page as we discover valuable resources for parents. If you have any ideas or would like to see a resource added to our page, please let our team know. We would love to hear from you!
